Following is the JD for DB2 DBAEssential tasks in job responsibility will include:-Grant appropriate privileges to primary and secondary AUTH IDs.Create / modify database objects as defined in the physical model.Enforce security standards and naming conventions.Define and implement backup and recovery strategies for production environment.Maintain physical environment; remove / update datasets as necessary for JCL, DDL, etc.Review table/index growth for capacity planning: estimate future storage requirements.Test new features and products, assessing applicability and defining usage standards.Assist application development teams in resolving their DB2 queries/problems.Following will be considered advantageous if the concerned candidate:-Can build REXX macros, tools to support infrastructure & automate processes.Has programming experience with COBOL programming.Can setup automated Installation Verification Process for DB2 installations.Required skill-set:-Operating Systems z/OS (MVS), WindowsLanguages/scripting JCL, REXXRDBMS z/OS Database 2 (Version 8 and above)Tools CA PLATINUM, SPUFI, QMF, Omegamon
